Speaking at The Science of Cannabis 2020 Online Symposium, Jeffrey Williams, Scientist IIII from Cayman Chemical Company delivered his talk on phytocannabinoids Abstract: Plant varieties of Cannabis are known to contain a large number of structurally unique bioactive chemicals known as phytocannabinoids. While the methods for isolation can deliver high quality products, isomerization or oxidative by-products may form during processing resulting in degradation of product purity. Identifying these unknown impurities is a crucial step for process improvements to obtain cannabis isolates.
