Does Active Learning Build Grit?

Grit is hypothesized to be developed through deliberate practice, and we further hypothesize that a group of learning pedagogies, collectively called active learning, is that practice. We believe that through the use of active learning in engineering education, students not only gain learning success but also build their grit.
