HID EVOlution™ - Automation for forensics laboratories

This seminar will explain the capabilities and features of the HID EVOlution system. This system is used by DNA forensic laboratories to perform DNA extraction, quantification reaction setup, normalization, STR reaction setup, and CE setup. Other than CE setup, these systems are dedicated for use with Applied Biosystems PrepFiler™, Quantifiler®, and Identifiler® chemistries The system sold by Tecan consists of a Freedom EVO liquid handling robot and a dedicated software interface written specifically to guide the forensic analyst through the protocols and make reporting and sample tracking safe and simple. HID EVOlution was developed in conjunction with scientists at Applied Biosystems (Life Technologies) Human Identification group. It has been developmentally validated and is supported by Applied Biosystems.
