  • Biotools’ Gelification Technology stabilizes reagents to reduce the risk of reagent degradation and contamination during shipment, storage, and sample preparation. Namely, gelification allows for the convenient room temperature shipment, extended 4°C storage, and reduced handling time of reagents. This technology is especially advantageous to the Brazilian Health System because it allows for products to be shipped across the country, to regions with different climatic and laboratory conditions, without the maintenance of a cold chain. Additionally, simplified sample preparation enables the analysis of large batches of sample with complete automation and without the need for highly skilled staff. This technology has been recently licensed to the Brazilian Health System, applied in the virological control of blood banks.
