  • This webinar demonstrates how a laboratory can increase workflow productivity, method sensitivity, and analytical reproducibility by automating the extraction and using ultra selected reaction monitoring (USRM) to eliminate the matrix and target PBDE congeners in household dust at low levels. Learn about proven techniques for automating sample preparation using accelerated solvent extraction and Triple Quadrupole GC-MS/MS for trace analysis of PBDEs and other organic compounds in environmental matrices. Accelerated solvent extraction uses a combination of elevated temperatures and pressure with common solvents to increase the efficiency of the extraction process. The result is faster extraction times, using less solvent, and a higher degree of consistency from sample to sample, compared to other extraction techniques. The combination of these technologies dramatically improves the ability of environmental laboratories to quantitate regulated and currently unregulated compounds such as those listed in the EPA’s Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule 3 (UCMR3).
