Novel Angiogenic Model Based on Stable, Fluorecently Labled Cell Lines Amenable to High Content Screening

July 17, 2012

Natalie Prigozhina, Staff Scientist, Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute

The growth of many different cell types has been evaluated using alvetex scaffold technology, including cell types commonly used in industry (e.g. CHO, 3T3) and more specialised 3D assays for liver and skin barrier function. Evidence will be presented showing that cells grown on alvetex display enhanced cell viability, differentiation and function when compared to conventional 2D culture models.
