It has proven effective in a variety of neurodegenerative diseases. SB623 is not cell replacement therapy, it works by mechanisms including trophic support, production of beneficial extracellular matrix and immuno-modulation. A clinical trial has been initiated in patients with stable stroke deficits. This talk will focus on the mechanism of action and the translation of this product from bench to clinic.
