    Abstract
The United States has made significant changes to its patent law. This affects you (really). The U.S. will be a first-to-file country in March of 2013 - like the rest of the world. Post-issue opposition proceedings similar to those in Europe are now the law. U.S. leadership in thermonuclear, bet-the-company, patent litigation remains singular and intact. This session will present revised “best practices,” and safe havens from patent infringement. It will also address the tao of patent portfolios under the newly law. The focus is on efficient deployment of IP funds for international companies.
