The 8-Channel SPE-03 can automate the challenging solid phase extraction process in EPA Method 537 and other similar methods. Due to the highly adsorbent and ubiquitous nature of perfluorinated alkyl acids (PFAAs), sample preparation has to be done very carefully to prevent contamination. Multiple rinsing and cleaning steps are also required. As a result, a lot of human involvement is involved in this crucial process before the analysis. Using the SPE-03, up to 8 samples can be extracted without any supervision. The automated solid phase extraction system will perform SPE cartridge conditioning, sample loading, sample bottle rinsing with reagent water and solvent, delivery of rinsate into the SPE columns as well as nitrogen drying. The built-in cleaning method makes it easy to clean and purge the system before each run.

The SPE-03 also comes with the minimal-teflon option where PTFE moving parts are replaced with UHMWPE and PEEK. This is to address concerns about PTFE parts contaminating the samples.
