You need another instrument that can give you another sound. This week our host Jen Fournier has an unknown chromatographic peak and seeks a little help from a friend, Melinda Foland. Melinda provides mass spectrometry training at Waters. She talks with Jen about the types of mass spec instruments that can help her identify her mysterious peak, such as nominal mass and exact mass, and when to use each to help her data hit the proverbial high note.
