Bio-Rad's QX 200 ™ Droplet Digital™ PCR (ddPCR™) System is a powerful new tool for quantifying target DNA with extreme sensitivity. Early in the drug discovery process, the technology enables absolute quantification of RNA transcripts resulting in extremely accurate measurements of gene expression changes in diseases like cancer. In later stages, while clinically evaluating drug efficacy, digital PCR can be used to identify genomic sequences in liquid biopsies. The QX200 Droplet Generator partitions samples into 20,000 nanoliter-sized droplets. After PCR on a thermal cycler, droplets from every sample are streamed in single file where the PCR-posiitive and PCR-negative droplets are counted to provide absolute quantification of target DNA in digital form. The ddPCR System enables you to: • Detect rare DNA target copies with unmatched sensitivity • Determine copy number variation with unrivaled accuracy • Measure gene expression levels with the highest precision Applications and Uses • Copy number variation • Rare sequence detection • Mutation detection • Gene expression analysis • Gene editing • miRNA analysis • Next generation sequencing sample quantification • Biomarker discovery http://www.bio-rad.com/en-us/applications-technologies/drug-discovery-development?WT.mc_id=sm-dbc-ww-qx200-vyt-20160505-wlp228r2Vyc"
