  • Stuart Adams, PhD, Senior Analytical Chemist, Fera Science Ltd, UK, describes a newly developed method that combines ion chromatography with mass spectrometry for the detection of polar pesticides in food samples to help assess food safety. The method is shown to provide the selectivity and sensitivity to accurately detect pesticides of interest, including chlorate and perchlorate, in several different sample matrices.
