Ryan Duggan, Technical Director of the Flow Cytometry Core Facility at the University of Chicago, discusses his experience using the NovoCyte flow cytometer from ACEA Biosciences. Duggan explains that in the busy environment of his core lab time is at an absolute premium. He states that the automated start up protocols of the NovoCyte (including quality control fluidics protocols) greatly decrease the time window between turning the machine on and actually acquiring data.
