The mite probably emerged from a plant growth soil called carolina soil from Brazil. It was found in a leaf of a plant of the species Calísia repens after leaf chlorosis induced by sodium fluoride (NaF) in 100 mM concentration. The images were collected in 100X magnification.<br/>An interesting detail is that this mite is eager to suck the bacteria present on the surface of the blade with its sucking hair. The adhered protozoa eat the material excreted by the mite in their faeces.

I observed  occasionally  this protozoa  at a leaf of plant Callisia repens highly poisoned by fluoride. It was really amazing
