Introduction to AnalytiXagility

Aridhia recently led a test for the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) trialling the concept and execution of federated genomic analysis in a bid to address the collaboration and computational challenges facing research. From our base in Scotland, and using the GA4GH Genomics API and one of our AnalytiXagility workspaces, we opened connections to databases at centres in Australia, Russia, the USA and Northern Ireland before selecting, aggregating, analysing and visualising relevant data. Federated analysis of genomics data - the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health test  

CHART-ADAPT is an Innovate UK funded collaboration between Aridhia, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Philips Healthcare, and University of Glasgow examining the use of big data technologies as a solution to advance research and treatments for patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries. The collaboration has developed a platform enabling a ‘bench to bedside’ environment. This CHART-ADAPT platform extracts high and low frequency data from in-hospital patient monitoring systems and enables the use of physiological models and algorithms. By enabling clinically important physiological models and algorithms to be implemented more quickly into clinical practice, CHART-ADAPT has the potential to revolutionise the treatment of critical care patients. CHART-ADAPT: Bringing the benefits of big data technologies to the critical care unit

In 2016, Health Informatics Researcher and Academic Project Lead at the University of Edinburgh, Areti Manataki selected AnalytiXagility to deliver coursework for an online medical informatics course.

As the course was using sensitive data, the University had to ensure that their students – who were located around the world – could safely and securely access everything they needed.
