The Drop Shape Analyzer – DSA Inkjet supports you in creating the perfect interplay between printing head control and the ink to be used. Bringing along its own printing electronics, the instrument incorporates intuitive tools for setting printing parameters and a highly innovative optical system for analyzing the resulting jet stream of ink droplets. Parameters such as waveform and frequency can be easily adjusted while observing the drops' behavior live and measuring a vast number of instructive result parameters, such as speed and volume of the drop, the trajectory, ligament length, and number of satellite drops. With this direct approach, the DSA Inkjet helps you in optimizing your ink formulations as well as the printing process.

The Ross Miles Foam Analyzer – RMFA is the world‘s first instrument for automatic measurements of foamability and foam stability in accordance with ASTM D 1173. The RMFA uses standardized vessels in a newly-developed measuring setup for electronic, optical foam height detection. Measuring the initial foam height does not have to be coordinated with the discharge of the reservoir solution anymore, but is registered electronically. Thanks to narrowly observed measuring times as per Ross-Miles of one, three, and five minutes and a height resolution of 0.4 mm, analyses in accordance with ASTM D 1173 achieve precision that was previously unheard of. Universal analysis of liquid and solid surfaces | K100

Wetting and adhesion of materials is governed by their surface free energy (SFE) and its polar and non-polar (disperse) components. To optimize painting, coating or bonding, the SFE is often increased by pretreatment. For quality control, our unique Mobile Surface Analyzer – MSA performs very fast mobile measurements of the SFE using the contact angle method. Revealing also the polar and disperse parts of the SFE, material analyses with the MSA are far superior to the test ink method. Surface Quality Control | MSA

The video image of a drop is the basic raw data resource of a drop shape analysis. ADVANCE makes it very easy to access the corresponding image for each result by just clicking it in the result list or the graphical representation. The fitting method used to determine the contact angle can be changed very quickly either for one item, a selected range, or even the complete list of results. This is of great help, for example, when the contact angle range of a sample is unknown before the measurement and the optimal fitting method has to be selected subsequently. ADVANCE | Drop Shape: Image to result assignment

Surface free energy (SFE) determination used to be time-consuming, having to dose drops of at least two liquids, to measure their contact angles and then to calculate the SFE. ADVANCE carries out all these steps fully automatically within just one second, using our Liquid Needle dosing technology. After a push of a button, drops of two liquids are dosed and recorded in parallel, followed by precise image analysis and SFE calculation. The method is available for the hand-held Mobile Surface Analyzer – MSA by KRÜSS and also for the stationary Drop Shape Analyzers by KRÜSS.
