Distek has revolutionized benchtop scale bioprocessing with the release of our BIOne 1250 Bioprocessing Controller and BIOne Single-Use Bioreactor. 

With the intuitive touchscreen interface, the BIOne 1250 is designed to be the easiest to use and most capable stand-alone controller on the market.  

With the BIOne Single-Use Bioreactor any existing 2 and 5L autoclavable system can be easily converted into a fully contained single-use system.  Simply remove the existing stainless steel headplate and place the BIOne SUB directly into the Glass Vessel.

Stirred-tank bioreactors present an option for the expansion of primary human T-Cells that has previously not been pursued due to concerns about shear stress. Small scale studies have shown that impeller driven mixing stirred-tank bioreactors do not increase cell death or limit expansion potential. Translating the learnings from those small scale studies to the autologous manufacturing scale has shown that the BIOne stirred-tank bioreactor produces a consistent culture environment and high cell yields. The BIOne significantly outperformed rocking bioreactor systems in both total yield and production efficiency.

The Distek Opt-Diss 410 UV fiber optic system for dissolution testing measures directly in the vessel, eliminating problematic filters, tubing and pumps used in conventional sampling. Patented ARCH probes designed specifically for dissolution eliminate bubbles and trapped particles that plague other fiber systems. New multicomponent analysis allows quantifying two components at once, without the need for separation.

The PrepEngine was developed through collaborations with leaders in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry to simplify and speed up the content uniformity sample preparation process. The result - a compact benchtop design that incorporates 10 individually powered, high-output stirring stations which can prepare content uniformity samples up to 90% faster than conventional methods.

A comprehensive mixing study conducted by MIT Hamel Lab compared the Distek BIOne 2l Single-Use Bioreactor to a Glass 2l Bioreactor.  The stir time results were nearly identical at all operational speeds and NO dead spots were identified.
