CNC router used as an autosampler controlled using autoit

  • Here I demonstrate the use of a cheap (nearly $1000) CNC router as an autosampler for chemical analysis. The main difference between this and the robotic arm are 2: 1) it is much easier to program the CNC router than the robotic arm because the CNC router uses G code, the industry standard for controlling machiens that move on 3 axes; 2) I can perforate septa much easily because the movement downwards is much easier to perform using a CNC router than using a robotic arm.
