  • Tecan’s AC Extraction Plate*, which is based on proprietary TICE™ (Tecan Immobilized Coating Extraction) technology, is a revolutionary, automation­friendly solution designed to streamline sample preparation for LC-MS analysis of small molecules . The AC Extraction Plate is a 96-position, deep-well microplate, with each well containing an extractive TICE™ (Tecan Immobilized Coating Extraction) coating which acts as an extraction phase for small non-polar molecules, absorbing analytes from aqueous environments with high affinity, while proteins, phospholipids, carbohydrates and salts remain in solution The AC Extraction Plate offers an open development platform that can be applied to sample preparation for a broad range of small molecules (such as vitamin D, steroids, and other small analytes) from biological fluids (including plasma, serum, whole blood, urine and saliva). Those analytes extracted from the AC Extraction Plate can be directly injected into an appropriate analytical detection system, such as LC/MS-MS. The AC Extraction Plate requires fewer and easier steps than with SPE and SLE (supported liquid extraction) comparable plate based technology. Most importantly, with the AC Extraction Plate there is no need for filtration, centrifugation or evaporation. The AC Extraction Plate can also be used immediately, and does not require conditioning or prewashing. Unlike many of these techniques, sample preparation with the AC Extraction Plate can also be easily automated, providing a rapid, walkaway solution for the extraction of small molecules from biological fluids for LC-MS analysis. *For research use only – not for clinical diagnostic applications
